Kajiado Pitstop
The Kajiado Pit Stop Project is an ambitious, multi-faceted initiative designed to serve both the local community and travellers along the busy Nairobi-Namanga highway.
The Kajiado Pit Stop is an ambitious and community-focused initiative located along the bustling Nairobi-Namanga highway. Built on land generously gifted to the organization, the project aims to benefit both travellers and the local community by addressing key needs and fostering empowerment. The pit stop will provide clean restroom facilities which will offer much-needed sanitation and comfort for travelers. A dedicated food and refreshment area will feature freshly prepared local meals, creating a welcoming environment for those on long journeys. A core element of the project is its focus on empowering women. The pit stop will include a display and marketplace for locally made products such as beadwork, sewn items and fish flies, providing women with a platform to market and sell their goods. Additionally, the pitstop will include a skill training station an environment that will help women learn and refine crafts, equipping them with the tools to generate sustainable incomes. To support working mothers, we plan to include an early childhood centre to offer a safe, nurturing environment for children. Future plans include IT and robotics training for children, helping to bridge the digital divide and prepare the next generation for the future. This initiative is about more than just facilities; it’s a holistic approach to economic empowerment, education, and sustainable development. By improving lives and creating opportunities, the Kajiado Pit Stop aims to be a model for community-driven growth that can be replicated in other regions. Our Ask for Support: We cannot achieve this transformative vision alone. We are calling on partners, supporters and institutions to join us in making the Kajiado Pit Stop a reality. Your support can help us: • Construct and maintain the facilities. • Expand skill training workshops and empower more women. • Establish and equip the early childhood centre. • Create markets for locally made products. • Provide technology training to bridge the digital divide. With your help, we can create lasting positive change and ensure a brighter future for Kajiado. Let’s work together to turn this vision into a legacy of impact.
